How to Change Cabin Air Filter?

On CAT Skid Steer & Compact Track Loader
- To remove, rotate the filter assembly counterclockwise
- Discard the old cabin air filter
- Inspect the new cabin air filter
- Place the new cabin air filter into the ductwork
- Rotate the new filter assembly clockwise
- Lock the filter into the ductwork

On CAT Mini Excavator(3-8 ton)
- Check the yellow indicator to see if the air cleaner requires servicing
- Unfasten the three clips around the outside of the filter housing cover
- Remove the primary (outer) filter and then slide out the secondary (inner) filter
- Align the notch on the new inner filter and slide it firmly into the housing
- Slide the new outer filter over the top of the inner filter until it is firmly in place
- Replace the housing cover and secure all three clips
- Press the reset button on the indicator and squeeze the duckbill valve at the bottom to remove debris

- Locate the filter on the outside of the cab, on the machine’s right-hand side rear fender
- Clean and return the filter for continued use, or replace it if it is worn out

- Locate the filter inside the cab, on the machine’s right-hand side below the gauge console
- Remove the plastic pane to access the filter area
- Remove the metal frame from around the filter
- Remove the old filter and install the replacement
